Well about 2 months later for some weird unknown reason all my gears locked up so i couldnt get into any gear. Ever since then things have gone downhill, it still shifts hard and every time i go to put it in reverse it grinds or makes a big clunkin' sound. After bringing it to the dealer to get it checked out they tell me it was my clutch and they wont fix it cause i have an AGP WGA and about have treadwear life left!! Arent the KDWs supposed to last about 20k?! I already reported them to the BBB, this is bullshit!

I am having the exact same problem right now. Did you ever figure out what the problem really was. Thanks for any info you can tell me because the dealership said that it is the cluch and the thorw out bearing. I think the dealerships are a bunch of lazy ass bullshiters and ther is more to the problem.

problem. my clutch went after 65,xxx miles. replaced it with an OEM clutch. now my problem. it idles EXTREMELY rough. went to the mechanic with ZERO problems.... comes out with MANY! clutch is releasing WAY too low... push to floor to disengage, move it a tenth of a millimeter (or at least it feels that way) and it engages....

MAIN PROBLEM.... IDLE. it is so rough my seats shake. other than HKS SSQ, and K&N typhoon intake... stock.

any suggestions? the battery was out of the car for 6 hours though.... could that have something to do with it? i've checked the plugs, they are fine, compression is normal in all four cylinders, i'm getting spark to all four, aaaaaah no vac leaks, my mechanic is stumped.... anyone have any advice or what to look fors?

found out the source of the vibration. that little plate that is pressed in the back of the clutch with the three tabs, well, it wasn't pressed in the middle. it was pressed in wrong. so it was off balance. piece of shit mopar! i love my car! haha! although i do have to say... anyone who lives in western pa area, around zelienople check out Kasing Dodge. they treated me VERY well. fixed my problems, and just all out rock!

i'm a happy camper now.

Funny you should say "vibrate". I had the same problem and I had my engine replaced. They said that "The flywheel bolts while causing damage to the clutch, pressure plate etc.. also cause damage to my crankshaft bearing causing the vibration." So after all the haggling with dealership, DCX and extended warranty, I got a new engine and Mopar clutch upgrade. The tranny was OK.

Glad to hear they took care of you. My brother is the mechanic that worked on your car.

its a stock clutch with 74k miles. no slipping at all and i dont really abuse it. i have done maybe 20 WOT shifts ever but usually granny shift beccuase the car is fast enough while in gear that i dont have to try to get better times but abusing my tranny. someone local said it might be a throw out bearing. i understand how a clutch works but dont really understand what the throw out bearing is doing. could someone help me figure this problem out and maybe explain to me how the throw out bearing works? thanks in advance.

Default FBM clutch w/ fidanza won't disengage fully!!

I can't figure out what is wrong with my clutch. I have a Fully Built ceramic 6-puck clutch and a fidanza Al flywheel. When I installed it, I put in a new throw out bearing. Initially, during break in, if I bottomed out the pedal, sometimes I would hear and feel a ticking sound. The noise was proportional to RPM's. It would happen warm or cold, but it usually got worse after stop and go traffic. That noise has mysteriously stopped completely.

Now, I have a different issue. The clutch does not fully disengage. I adjusted the pedal all the way I could. I have also put in a new slave clyinder and filled and bled the clutch fluid. I cannot get the car in to reverse with the car running. It is also very hard to get it in to 1st gear as well. When it is in 1st gear, with the clutch pedal on the floor, the car inches forward similar to an automatic tranny. When I come to a stop with it in gear, the car shakes as if it is trying to move. I also noticed there is a white creamy kind of stuff floating in the clutch fluid resivoir. It seems like a white lithium grease floating around.

I would really appreciate some help trying to figure out what is wrong with my car. Thanks guys!
