Default Changing shift selector, what did you use to reseal?

I'm going to be changing my shift selector this weekend and I was just wondering what you used to reseal the plate that has to be removed in order to get to the shift selector assembly. Would high temp silicone work?

Pretty much any sort of RTV will work. Ultra Grey from Autozone or a similar store will be fine. Mopar makes a gasket maker that is recommended, but not required.

Is this install fairly easy or pretty hard? I was thinking of installing a agp one.
