Question broken shift selector?

last night my car wouldnt go into any gear after a small race , pretty sure its the shift selector, now it only goes into second and thats it, no neutral either, wont go to the right at all and i got from first neutral and second and they all are second gear

jus wanted to see some input to see if its really the shift selector

Hey Matt, whats up? Take your boot off and look to see if one of your cables came loose....This happened to me, and I thought I broke something major! Turned out to be a simple fix....

already checked the cables last night, my friend checked the connection right at the tranny and it was jus locked up not wanting to do anything, I had to drive home going 25 mph from International drive, took me 2 hours to get home lol

After breaking a little bit of everything, you need to take the selector off to see if thats what broke or the brass shift forks inside. Youll be able to see right away. If you need one I have one for you.

its could be a selector or fork matt...ive broken both..a few weeks ago i thought i broke another shift selector it was stuck in 4th and wouldnt go in or out of any gear...take off the cover and take a pic,i noticed that the billit selector was fine but one side of the middle fork broke so it couldnt pull out.
but it it is somehow your selector tyler has an extra.

I broke mine (shift selector) about 2 months ago, and my car would not go into any gear what so ever. AGP sells an aftermarket one for about $130. Just an FYI, good luck

Ive broken mine 3 times and all 3 of them I was stuck in nuetral and couldnt drive the car

Replaced mine with the AGP piece when I went Big turbo and whole hog on DCR stuff. Great insurance.

Just installed Maddog 72% last night. Great stuff.

will someone explain to me where exactly the shift forks sit? i want to inspect mine, but really not sure where to start...

On the top of the transmission sit your shift cables. Disconnect them and that would be your shift selector. Remove that and down inside directly below are the shift forks. They are the only thing inside made of brass and damage easily from a forced shift. If you are having problems or dificulty shifting then they will probably be broken, chipped, or mis-shapen. The groove where the selector sits on the fork should look like the letter U and have material on either side.
