Anyhow, yea ACT is a much cheaper clutch setup. Hopefully you will have luck with it

The only reason i went with it Aaron is because i dont plan on tracking the car that much. Season is pretty much almost over now, and by the time i get the clutch and turbo set up in, i wont be heading to the track untill next season. Car is my daily driver and yes i do drive it hard sometimes, but im not going to be at the track every other weekend running slicks. I just dident have the extra $1000 to spend on the clutch and ive talked to many people with the ACT 6 puck non-mod set up and they all seem to have no problems. I just needed something better than stock that would be able to hold the hp/tq levels that ill be at with the new set up. I do appreaciate all of your help with everything though. Deffenitly one of the most helpful guys in my opinion on the board.

I totally understand. I just feel pretty solid that you will not be happy with your choice in the long run. For now, the extra savings is a good thing.

Word thanks for the info. I have the how to for both tranny and act clutch install. And at work I printed out everything from All data just as a back up. I got a 100 plus page book And use the red thread locker is what is said in the act how to.... Im going to go with the torque specs that are listed in that, plus what is listed the shit I got from all data has every spec for every bolt that deals with removal and install of the trans.

Im kinda excited and worried at the same time.

I don't advertise on here. I work for a speed shop and just hook up anyone that needs something. I am not on here to make money, this is my personal account. But if someone wants something, I will take care of em.

^no slicks yet. i might run DRs next season but i might change my mind and run slicks. i really need something to help me get the power to the ground in first and second. even with good track prep i roast 1st and 2nd and chirp 3rd. all depends on if the wifey will let me get the rims and either set of tires to run them. otherwise i will just be running on slicks still.

what effect will slicks or DRs have on the ACT 6 puck?

More traction = more of a load on the clutch. No spinning tires...or less spinning tires. I say its all hit and miss man, honestly. There are people that swear by all three brands for their own individual reasons.

i understand about the whole, more traction = more load; which means more torque per say, but if i am only making 430wtq on a clutch that is rated for 607, would using slicks going to make that big of a difference to make the clutch go bad? or am i getting my logic mixed up? not trying to be difficult, just trying to figure things out.
