Ok, i have broke 3 driver side axles in the past year and a half and not understanding why. I dont take it to the track that often, i think i have been maybe a total of 3 times. The first time i broke the shaft was at the track and it broke on my very first pass of the day and i know why that one broke. But i dont understand why the last two times it broke. The last two times it broke were on the street. I dont dump the clutch in first gear or any gear. Each time it has happened i have been spinning the tires from a roll in first and it would break when i grab 2nd gear. My mods are, Agp wga, aem sri, msd plug wires, NGK plugs, greddy type s bov, perrin cold charge pipe, LFMI, DSP w/ 93 oct tune, tein lowering springs, race mm inserts, full 3" exhaust. If anyone has any suggestions on how to prevent this from happening w/o buying the upgraded shafts ( i personally dont think the car has enough power to suggest me to upgrade them) i know several ppl running bigger turbo's and even close to same setup as me and doing the same things and not breaking anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance
If your motor is torqing around alot it will put the cv joints at a bad angle and cause them to break as well. Wheel spin is the worse thing you can do, when they go from a spin to instant hook they will fail. My suggestion is to keep the boost down in first or second to keep your wheel spin away. For the power you make OEM axles are plenty good.

car has 48k miles on it .. not sure if they should be but i will check them out .. by rebuilt i mean re-manufactured. oh and i started to look at it today and found out it was the passenger side axle not drivers side and it snapped at the hub right before the ABS ring
Check to make sure your intermediate shaft support bracket bolts are still there and not loose. Also check the floating bearing on the intermediate shaft to make sure it hasn't popped out of the metal piece. Intermediate shaft is the piece that the passenger axle connects to.
Whatever you do, only at least buy brand new OEM Mopar axles. I made your mistake. Your shooting yourself in the foot with the other junk out there. Don't believe any sales hype, and especially don't buy from AmericanCV. My axles were shearing in half at the shaft right before the bearings.
My drivers side axles has been screaming lately when backing up and turning, like embarrassing loud....I've only had my srt for 2 months now and I've seen a few axle threads lately, time to change it....the dealer price is scarey but shit, its worth it.

not bad, but I work at a Honda dealership and we have an account with our nearest Dodge dealer, so we get big discounts on parts.....someone in here referred me to gator axles...I spoke to one of the customer service reps and from what he's saying, they have some bad ass performance axles that's guaranteed to last, so I guess the mopar is a temporary fix for now....
