Default Attn:Vendors Re: Trany

I need a Trany 72,000miles lost 2nd gear. I know just about everyone is going to need one on or before the mileage mark I hit.
I think we should have better trany options, that don't cost as much as a built motor rebuild.
The t-56 trany has a rebuild kit for $400
I can pick up the T850 Srt-4 trany used local for $850 NO CORE

Instead of having 1-5 stages for a trany rebuild let's cut it down to 2
Stage 1 up to 500hp
Stage 2 anything you can throw at it.
And a DIY rebuild kit for the stock trany which I have seen handle over 450hp,450tq.
That's my rant money in hand looking for options ty for reading,
Sean

Noobs...The T56 is used in TONS of different platforms and ranges across several major car makers....The 850 is used in ONE car for 3 years.

Durrr, of course parts are fucking expensive, get a better job and afford the shit you want or run less power.

Actually, the t850 was used in Europe for several years before it came here....

Youd probably be better off replacing the parts yourself and buying upgraded parts where you can. I know PWerks sells a lot of the Mopar trans parts and then you can get things from Rage-Tek like the break-prone 3/4 shift fork and a more solid shift selector.

My built tranny didnt break the bank, you just have to hustle. I bought most of my internals in the FS new, then bothered P werks last year when they were having trouble selling there billet inputs, got one for like 800 shipped, then traded a clutch for some other things...

You just have to hustle.

LMFAO at a NOOB calling me a NOOB, I was here way before you and have been in the game way longer

How many Srt-4's were made do the math!
This trany has been out for a long time and in other cars tested in MEXICO.
I don't mind spending $$ as along as I get what I pay for.

Exactly!
Add up the list of parts to make it bullet proof and it's a way better deal than a vendor rebuilt tranny.
It can be alot cheaper and in return a lot more sales=More $$
But most are looking to get that high ticket price and sales are not that high= less$$

Good call on the noob, since i already HAVE my built tranny IN my car.

The fact doesnt change that if you do the math there will be TONS more T56's that were put in factory cars than 850's...
