Default Accelerator shaft noise under load (may not be the input shaft)

I'm really just looking for peace of mind here. I don't have much experience with straight cut gears (the first gear on the rage accelerator shaft is straight cut), so I don't know whether or not I should be worried.

I just finished my trans build, listed are all the new parts that I am currently running: ACT 6 puck sprung w/ prolite flywheel, new TOB, new TOB fork, Rage accelerator shaft w/ pilot bearing, Rage 3/4 shift fork, all new snap rings etc. when I rebuilt the trans.

The car shifts flawlessly, initial engagement into first gear is a little rough (vibration and clutch chatter). There are a couple new noises that I didn't notice before on my stock transmission (had a SBC stage 3 modular).

1 - in first gear, when launching the car sounds like it has a damn supercharger. There is an audible whine coming from the trans.

2 - in ANY gear, while under load, there is a rattling sound (metal on metal). It sounds almost like a loose flywheel bolt, HOWEVER when the engine/trans are not under load the noise is not present (when coasting and decelerating).

Any ideas? Other accelerator shaft owners please chime in...

i have heard that 1st gear will sound like that. so dont worry about that. its because of the straight cut.

as for your second question, im not really sure.

I have also heard that 1st gear will sound like a supercharger with the Accelerator.

Here's a video of the accelerator input shaft. As you can hear, the whine in first is normal.

BORKED
Don't know about that second sound you spoke of.

Thanks for the input guys. Think sound #2 could be the TOB? It's just strange that the sound goes away when it's not under load...
