Question 75-90 Synthetic Gear Oil Safe In T-850?

has anyone used this fuid? wondering if it would work better than the atf4. i have 72k on stock trans and axels, upgraded clutch, new cryo fork, new tob and no shifting issues. would just like better protection to keep it that way...

I wouldn't personally use that weight oil. I've used RP syncromax and amsoil's syncromesh fluid with good results. And no you don't need the friction modifier with the oils I listed if you have an lsd equipped srt.

I use BnM trick shift and the lsd additive. If I used the above fluids I would still use the additive it helps gears from shearing.

i went ahead and went with the penzoil synthetic syncromesh 75/90 since its what we have at work. not sure what to think of it yet. i might give it a few days and if i don't notice any difference i'll switch back to atf-4. not sure if its in my head but car seems slower now lol

Have order the amsoil's syncromesh... and have been wondering about this. Would it do you any good to add the LSD additive anyway? What about this amsoil fluid makes it so that the LSD additive, or "friction modifier" is not needed??

Thanks for the time.
