Default 3rd gear problem

Im getting the ocassional pop out of third gear mostly when downshifting and sometimes when upshifting when driving casual. Im thinking it may be a bent shift fork or 3/4 syncro clip? Maybe the shift selector is damaged also im not sure so any help would be great.

if you haven't done already, pullout the air box and on top of the trans. feel if the fork is out of shape. have some one in side car put the gear in and out of 3 to 4 while you hold the levers. if they do not move the way you think they should you most likely are right.

had my sycros replaced when i encountered the same issues. "metal fatigue" the dealer said.

if you have an extended warranty it is covered. goo luck

well the motor is pulled due to it blowing up but i have had the 3rd gear problem before that so it may be easier to check now. What and where should i check? the tranny is also pulled off the motor.
