First off i wanna say the search function sucks. Anyway lately i have been missing 3rd gear while under WOT ( NOT WOT shitfting). When i shift into 3rd it will feel as if i am in gear but when i get back on the gas i am in netural. I did notice when i put the mad dog shifter in a year ago it was harder to shift. I have changed my transfluid about 600miles ago. I also adjusted my clutch pedal so it would catch sooner. I also read about the corssover cable being adjusted. Does anyone have any other ideas. I am gonna pull my clutch pedal all the way out to see if this will fix the problem. Is it ok to pull the pedal all the way out?

trannys are going out, big problems mainly with 05's but seen in all years. try not to let it break. it'll be alot more costly when it does. Perfomance autowerks has upgraded trannys & parts
I've noticed the same thing lately, actually just came to post the same problem, cept I never miss 3rd gear, it only pops out when you go to down shift IN to 3rd gear. If you match the revs as your downshifting, mine won't pop out. OR if I'm already driving in 3rd and coast, it won't pop out. Only when I'm shifting from another gear in to 3rd, then letting off the gas.

So this means new fork and syncro? I figured.
Yes, new fork & syncro, & you'll be good as new. Mine got to the point it was completely gone, grind everytime, up or down shifting. To the point where I would just skipped 3rd. So I had to fix it, new fork & syn $$$$$, like butter now baby!!! 500-600$ in parts, I wish I would've had billet forks, when it was apart, instead of poopy brass. You'll end up breaking the selector, or fork next, if the syncro doesn't give. I sprayed the shit out of mine, so it seen some major ass kicking before it shitted on me. I'm back to 40 roll status.

You don't always need a new synchronizer. My old tranny was starting to pop out of 3rd. When I built the tranny I replaced my shift forks with low mileage ones and the 3rd gear popping out stopped all together. I inspected my synchronizer and it was still fine. Replacing the shift forks only take a few hours if you have air tools and a small gear puller.
