Default Not a 420A, but...

Someone in my boat storage area was throwing
away an old Chrysler 4-cylinder turbo motor. I
snagged it and have it in my stall now to tear up.

Block casting is 4343930-16 and dated 3-7-86.
I think they had 2.2 and 2.5 motors back then,
is there any way for me to easily find out more
information? Any good power potential?

I believe it is a 140-hp 2.2L from what others
have been saying. Time to tear it down to see
why someone was throwing it away.

it is probably the 2.2 sohc used in the daytona. most people that have them are usu. junk dealers, or domestic car buffs, and usu. believe that anything under 300 cu. in. isn't worth fooling with . it is an ok motor.

Its an early 2.2 Turbo 1 engine. That specific year block casting can handle 250hp reliably and even more torque. Most of the people pushing 300+ even 400+ hp 2.2/2.5's start with an 89+ yr common block, its beefier.

this web site has all the info on these engines. and there are 16valve heads that will bolt up to that block if your looking to make more power.

"The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903)?
