Need opinions on quiter muffler options. My girl lives in Brooklyn and everytime i pass through Pitkin/Sutter there is beatwalkers on every corner. There also is like 5 cop cars running up and down the street every minute. Even when my ex use to live on Prospect i would have to take different routes to avoid the harrasment. To make it even worse when these cops give you tickets you then have to ride all the way down to Manhattan to take care of them. I have no time for that. Now i just wait for a warrant to be executed (no show for ticket) and let them move the case to Brooklyn. I alway beat the tickets (yall know how ) but this is getting time consuming, gas and all. I live in Queens and never got pulled over for muffler in my srt. My honda yes....and my VR6 NEVEEERRRR cause there was no need for any muffler system. This is the main reason why im buying a silencer. My dual exhaust is no more and been rocking the single magnaflow for a year now. Would an extra resonator help?? Ive also been reading on R/T mufflers. Not trying to suffer a huge amount of power loss though. Any opinions are greatly appreciated...
check out that silencer from apexi.......it's closed, but when you mash on it, a valve opens and it's 90 percent free flow....great for turbos....it'll be so quiet and you wont loose much over all power

you have the magnaflow right? just add a cat or a resonator at the beginning of the exhaust. i find that funny, i actually had a cop compliment me on my exhaust thats on the car now and its louder then my last exhaust lol

yea i heard that an extra resonator will quiet it down significantly. Is this the same muffler system you came with to the meet??
Nope I have the Exhaust Depot Side Exit with only a resonator. Shit is uber loud and backfires like crazy. I might come to this thursdays meet not sure yet though
My Maxxfab SEE has a cat and resonator and it's still loud as hell. Old people hate it, especially when I park at Starbucks to walk inside and the car sits idling while the turbo timer counts down. I have had people clap when it turns off before.

man i live in bk.. i only get bothered by cops when in queens lol.. i've got a 3 inch no cat just oval magnaflow. maybe the big turbo makes quiter? i was thinking about making it even quiter though. so people dnt think it's fast and givem a nice surprise..
