Hey everyone. The big BBQ is only about 4 weeks away now, and to date the NY crew has not stepped up to the task of hosting this thing. According to Cokey's thread, we only have 12 people who have contributed, and two of those did so just last night! Where is everyone? We cannot host this event if we cannot pay for what is necessary to make it work.
Just to be clear, I want to make sure that everyone knows why we are doing this. We are doing it because we want to avoid the confusion and drama that was associated with some of the previous meets when it came to paying at the meet. We want to have everything set up ahead of time so that there will be no problems that day, and everyone can just show up and have a good time. Any money that is left over from buying supplies will be used to buy parts that will be given away at the BBQ. We currently have some shirts and free subscriptions that Grass Roots Motorsports was kind enough to donate to the event, but that is all that we have to be given away. We currently do not even have enough money to pay for food, drinks and supplies, so we cannot get any more giveaways.
We are not expecting people who are not in NY to contribute to this, but if you guys want to contribute we thank you for it. To the NY crew, we DO expect you to contribute as we are the ones hosting this event. This event will not be a success if we cannot get enough supplies to cover all the people coming. With over 100 cars planning on attending, and an estimated 200+ people there, we need quite a bit of supplies. We do not have nearly enough to cover things as of this point.

If you have donated and your name is not on this list (I'm not sure when the last time Cokey updated it was), please let me or Cokey know and we will take care of it. If you like, I can donate my catch can to be given away. It's brand new, never used. I was gonna sell it, but this is for a better cause! It's made by Authority and is polished (bling bling)...LOL. It's similar to the GReddy style catch can.

Yeah people you need to throw in. This BBQ is for all of us and we need the funds so we can get enough food for everyone. Even more than that we would really like to have this rafle. We all thought it would be a nice thing, but it won't happen if there isn't enough dough.
Hey, I kicked in the necessary $20 so far and will ante up $40 more. I also have a fresh set of Prothane Street MM (brand new in the box) that I will donate. Money to go to Cokey again.
if you guys want to donate some parts to this, that would be great!!!! just let me know what you have. i guess just bring whatever you want to donate to the bbq and we'll make a big list there of what the give a way's will be.
Amy, Hey Girl, I will give your my 20 when I see you again. Unfortunatly it will not be this Friday cause I have to go to the windy city for a blasted wedding.
OK People listen up. those who plan to stay that Sunday night. please note the few motels around are not giving discounts to us. The cheapest I have seen was 56 dollars a night. But you are liable to get some type of disease just from the bed. There is a Holiday Inn Express not too far from the park and they are letting the rooms go for 89 a night. I need to stop by there again to get their address. there is also a motel about 10 min east on Sunrise. Those rooms are 75 a night. if I find more I will post them.
