Default stage 4 6-puck issues.

I have the CM stage 4 6-puck clutch and the center piece blew out like lucille's clutch did and warped the flywheel. I called and CM said it was out of warranty since I had it for over 3 months.....only 2 months installed, but had it for 3 months and a couple days. So since that was the case I went ahead and bought an aftermarket flywheel and put the clutch off the modular setup onto it. My car shifts fine into every gear most of the time during regular shifting, but when attempting to shift while flooring it from a 2-3, 3-4, or 4-5 shift it just will not go into gear until the car slows down. I am not WOT shifting at all...I have the clutch pedal pushed all the way in and attempt to put it in gear and it just wont go. I dont hear, but I can feel in my hand it grind just a little bit then eventually go into gear. Could it be my clutch pedal need adjusting or is it something else?

sometimes adjusting the pedal will cure the issues.

To avoid lots of issues I would look into their new Flywheel/clutch combo, which will be a killer set and no worries of parts falling off or breaking flywheels!

We have not released the new flywheels yet. The new redesigned flywheels have the ring gear attached so you can eliminate the flexplate. We belive that the stock flexplate is responsible for the shifting problems that some have complained about.

The new flywheels are being tested as we speak and should be ready to go by the end of the week if all goes well!

Check out this thread for more info..

good news coming from CM for the SRT-4.

Maybe psi meant she had a non-modular setup. I know I have a fadanza flywheel and it looks exactly like the one in the thread you posted above. I have your clutch now on the fadanza flywheel....soon I will attempt to adjust the clutch pedal.

i have the cm s4 6 puck clutch with aluminum flywheel direct from cm. when i broke the last flywheel i decided to upgrade thinking that i wouldn't have the same issue. well, i'm having the same issue. car is going in on sunday for some more work and the clutch will be looked at again then. i'm hoping that it's just an adjustment issue, but needless to say i am not happy.

Good luck! I cant get to mine except on the weekends due to not getting home until its dark. So only weekends work for me. Let us know how adjusting the pedal works and how much you had to do it.
