Hello, I just installed the CM stage 3 clutch with the fidanza aluminum flywheel and the clutch works great. I got the car home and on the long trip home it was hard to shift into gear. I stopped at a stoplight and let off the brake with the clutch pedal fully depressed and the car started inching forward. It wasn't totally disengaging. I adjusted the pedal under the dash and it stopped doing that, but if I accelerate quickly and try to shift from 2nd to 3rd with a fast shift like I used to it doesn't want to go into gear without a lot of effort on the shifter. Is this normal after installing these two totgether and will it get better over time? My mechanic said he thought the fidanza flywheel was too thick and that after driving for a week it should wear down the clutch enough to shift better. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. Chris
p.s. I messed up the title. It should say stage 3 CM clutch, not stage 2. oops...
I had a similar problem, my hydraulics were not fully bled, well, also my flywheel bolts backed out after about 200 miles too, which caused the opposite to happen, LOL! But the slave cylinder has to be romved from the tranny case and left hanging, with the fluid cap off, and then manually work the plunger at least 10 times (my tech did it 25 to be safe). and gotta work the clutch pedal before and after. Should be good to go, UNLESS you need a new slave cylinder or master........but at least this much is relatively free to start with.
