Default Pondering purchase...

Just have some questions here.

Modular or non-modular? What's the features and benefits?

What's the Aluminum flywheel going to do for me?

Stage 4, 4 puck or 6 puck?

and what does it mean to "hold 170% over stock"? Is that torque or hp? What is 170% over stock? I need something that will be a guaranteed 500hp/tq stable.

Thanks and looking forward to your reply.

The modular kit comes bolted together with the stock flywheel and the entire unit is then bolted directly to the existing stock flexplate. The main benefits of the modular kit is that is is easy to install and less expensive. Note: the modular kit is no longer available directly through us, but some of our distributors may have a few on the shelfs still.

The non-modular kit comes with an aluminum flywheel which replaces the stock flexplate and flywheel. The benefits of the non-modular kit are; comes with lightweight flywheel for faster revving, eliminates the stock flex plate which has been thought of as the weak point in the clutch system.

The 4-puck is suggested for racing because it will allow for quicker shifts and hold a little more power, but it will sacrifice drive ability because of its quicker engagement.

The 6-puck is more suitable for the daily driver.

170% over stock means that this kit will handle 170% X 230hp = 621hp.

Wow! Thank you for answering all my questions, it's a first for me on the forums!

Sounds like the Stage 4 non-modular 6 puck is the one for me. Would this clutch have any issues with WOT shifting?

Also 6 puck would mean that it would hold less power than the 4? Would immediate engagement signify that it's impossible for daily drivability?

Hey, thats what I'm here for.

No, this clutch is great for WOT shifting!

The holding difference between the 4 and 6 puck is minimal. The engagement is not immediate thanks to the sprung hub on the disc, and even the 4 puck is street able, it will just be a little harsher on engagement than the 6.
