Default FX300 brunt after only 8 months?!

The dealer told me that my clutch was burnt. I dont do any hard shifting or crazy driving. After having this clutch assembly in for about 8 months, its no more in use. My question is, what is the warranty with this clutch?

Thanks,

David

The written warranty is 90 days, but if you send your clutch kit in and we find that this was caused by a faulty part in the clutch then we will get it rebuilt for you. Please contact our techs at (909) 877-6800 for more info on the return and rebuild process.

I just talked to Lonnie at our main shop and he said that he has your clutch and had tried calling you back earlier. He told me to have you give him a call when you can at (909) 877-6800.

I just wanted to drop by and Thank ClutchMasters for awsome service. I sent my clutch for review, possibly a defective assembly, and they sent me a new one(thanks Lonnie). Supposedly one of the springs fell out and bam.. no more gears.

I do have to say that these discs are 3 times stronger than a stock set-up and only excessive and harsh downshifting can cause the springs to break. That said we do try to help get these failures fixed even after the warranty period in most cases. To insure that it does not happen again, I would suggest not using the clutch to stop the car rather using the brakes instead as brakes are a lot cheaper to replace.

Hello Clutchmasters,

I was just wondering if you have a non modular?

Definitly. We released the non-modular kits earlier this year, so all of our kits now are the new non-modular design.

I just recieved the older one as a warranty replacement. What are my chances of sending the one I got back for the newer non modular design?

I beleive you can just swap your flywheel for the newer one with the ring gear and pay the extra cost which is around $60.00. Please call our main shop for more information on the exchange process, (909) 877-6800.

Thanks,
