I just installed my Stage 3 clutch on a brand new engine so I haven't started it yet, I'm still putting everything together on it. But the pedal feel on the clutch is very light. Lighter than stock. Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong during the install? Do I need to bleed the line? From Searching it sounds normal. But I just want to be sure. Thanks.
lol well that doesn't sound good. So this isn't normal? Everything is engaging fine. Pulling off the plastic cover on the tranny I can see the lever moving fine and the bearing engaging the clutch. It seems to be okay. I won't know until I start the car next weekend, but I just want to make sure.
I also noticed I can shift the car into gear without the clutch engaged just as easily with it engaged. I haven't had my car running for 6 months now so I'm wondering if this is normal? I will say that if I'm in 5th gear and try to go in reverse it's locking me out of reverse so it seems to be okay in that respect. Just thought I'd throw that out.
I have had that happen on a few occations with the same clutch install. The clutches started to slip on both of those installs. We bleed the clutch system, replaced all the hydralics and then pulled the unit apart to check the install and put it back together. After 5K miles it started to slip when we hit over 400 torque. I dont know why or if there is a problem with them. Go to the drivetrain section and you can see that there are some problems right now with this paticular clutch over the last few months.
here's something i found in the clutchmasters forum:

Break it in for a couple hundred more miles then hammer on it and it will grab HARD.
Okay after reading some here it sounds like pumping the clutch a lot should help, which I did, but it didn't seem to do a lot. Adjusting the pedal was also mentioned, which crossed my mind too. I guess I'll just have to wait and see until I get it running.

Yes, this is completely normal for the stage 3. We re-engineer the fulcrum point on the casting which lets us use leverage to our advantage to get the clamping force without the added pedal effort.
Okay, that's all I wanted to hear. I won't be taking my car to the track at all so I'm not worried. It's a daily driver. If I was going to track it a lot I would have gone with stage 4. But 40+ miles a day in stop and go traffic, I figured stage 3 was the way to go. Thanks for the fast response!

Your welcome! This is the perfect daily driver clutch.
That sucks...... I just got my CM Stsg. 4 4-puck put in and has about 90 miles on her...nothing but a little ticking sound (which is normal im sure ) and I also just installed my GT3076R kit and the clutch holds fine so far at 12psi (stock fuel system) and only up to 4500rpms (dont wanna go any higher...
