This does not sound normal! Check your flywheel bolts and engine mounts..

I am also getting mixed feedback from Clutchmasters as well.

here is an email i sent and got back.

sent:
Dear Cluchmasters,

I recently installed an FX300 clutch on my vehicle(2005 SRT-4). I feel a slight vibration on first and reverse. I was just wondering if that is normal for the break in period, or if there is something wrong.

By the way the mechanics that installed the clutch said it was normal for the break in period.

Your suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

reply:
Our fx300 will chatter. Some times after the break-in period it will go
away and yes this is normal .

it has been well over 500 miles.

Sometimes is the chatter not supposed to go away?

First of all, "Loud ass chatter and Violant shakings", is a lot differant than a slight vibration in first and reverse. Yes, slight vibration in first and reverse is totally normal. But.. if it has grown to a loud ass chatter and you have well over 500 miles on it, then I would be worried that it is somthing else, like I mentioned earlier (flywheel bolts backing out or broken engine mount bolt).

Hope this clears thing up a little, sorry for the confusion.

I think I kind of over exaggerated alittle. It drives fine after the gear catchs on first and reverse. Its just that beginning part that shakes alittle.

The chatter goes away and comes back. it sounds horrible when its in neutral sometimes.

When in neutral sounds like a loud ticking? Not as much as of a chatter? My act 6 puck did this on my hatchback. This is normal. Trust me, everything was fine on that. I've swapped out transmissions plenty of times on that....lol

I hav ethe fx300 and experienced the same first and reverse "chatter" I suppose this is just par for the course when needing a clutch that is designed for higher torque ratings. You guys have to expect some give and take when it comes to modding the drive train.
