Hmmm, good question! I talked to one of my techs this morning about this issue to see why we could not just weld this peice in there. Basically the main purpose for the peice is to help center the clutch on the input shaft. After talking to him about welding it in place, he said there is no reason why that would not work, so I just told him to go ahead and implement that plan.
Thanks for the input, this should resolve that issue.

Good to hear NIVO.

Oh by the way, I also told Luis to get the ball rolling on making the non-modular flywheels with ring gears (to eliminate the flex plate).

Thanks for your suggestions and all your support!!!!

Wow nice to see a vendor stepping up and making improvements, this is why I would choose Clutchmaster all the way

they do listen, you just have to tell them and not bash on forums. they cost a bit more but at least they treat any case as an individual not as a whole!

Thumbs up from me and srtgurl!

Luis and I spoke about this last year and this year, so now they will upgrade to avoid any issues. pricing shouldn'tgo up by alot either for the upgrade!

Yeah it would be great if you could make our setup like a normal car with a normal flywheel etc. Hopefuly it would be cheaper like a regular clutch suppose to be. This modular setup sux.

it would be cheaper to replace components!

you would keep the flywheel and if the disc needs replacement you buy one new and repalce it!

Thanks guys, and gals! We try our best to keep improving our products as issues come about, and it helps a lot when we get feedback from every one on the forums.
On a side note, I am going to be out of the country for 15 days, taking a little business/vacation trip, so I will post an update in our section when I get back regarding the new flywheel set up.

Thanks,

Where should the spot welds be placed so as to not interfeer with any function? I'm going to go ahead and have that done before I install mine.

Thanks,

I would also like to see a seperate flywheel option, much like the one you offer for the 1995 Neon's. My friend just picked a 6 puck unit up and it looks great

Please keep us posted on any new details!

Mike

Well that's good news. But I'm giving my tranny and clutch one more chance and then its turbo-hydro time.
