I think I read your post and saw it worked right after. I will follow your lead and try just that.

turbojack: I appreciate your advise as well. I have contaced them and await their response. It is a driver issue. I cannot change the com port yet because the computer doesn't know what to do with the serial-usb cable. Once I get it figured out I will be able to use a more modern laptop. Until then I have to deal with a dying battery!

Weird, pick up a small power inverter from best buy, I think they're like 20 bucks, then just plug the laptop in and charge it if you need to.

Yeah, my brother gave me a power supply for the car, and I got the usb to work now (com 5). That was the trick there after getting the correct driver installed.

Today I ordered a Palm Vx with the goodies, a cable for it and the datalogger software from them. Yet another expensive day to have srt-itis!

im not sure i understand what your asking, did you read the install notes in the first post of this thread....

"Gray wire from Zeitronix (TPS) to orange/blue tracer wire (SRT-4 TPS)" ect...

the options you don't use don't hook up
so for the minimum you need....

pin#
1 red power YES
2 white NO
3 green rpm NO
4 orange boost NO
5 white/blue warning NO
6 yellow boost power NO
7 black ground YES
8 brown ground YES
9 purple narrowband output NO
10 grey tps NO
11 brown ground YES
12 blue input NO

I only needed the tach adapter for my e01 not the zietronix. I am not sure how the dtech works but the output on the zietronix is non-linear so there is a narrow range (from about 10.5-15.5) that the AFR's will be accurate IF you set the voltage/corrosponding AFR correctly. If you need the info pm me and I can go look at the proper settings for you.

ok, i think i have everything down.....
i have the boost and egt add-ons and the Tach driver....and according to the instructions in the first post, i wont be using pin # 2(white) 8(brown) and 9(purple) <--what are they for anyways??
i also have a mapclamp (dasmopar), i guess i am going to use pin# 12(blue) for that.
correct???
the only thing that confuses me is the "LCD display selection between boost, user and tps" .....i dont mind toggling the yellow button on the lcd screen to see the other readings..is that what this is about?????

the yellow button is for peak hold. will be peak boost since you have that connected) not to toggle readings

http://www.zeitronix.com/installatio...structions.pdf

#2 is an output to an engine management system
#8 i put to ground
#9 is an output to an engine management system

lol, thats ok, it cannot be that hard to figure out, anyways,im gonna buy like 6ft of (corresponding color) wire of each wire that i'm running to the engine bay
which are six wires (3 for the boost, 1 for TPS, 1 for tach signal and 1 more for the mapclamp).
i plan on mounting the brain under the center console(just like the instructions say to) hopefully i remember to take pictures and then maybe i can post them here if you want.
