^^Sounds good. When you get everything provide some feedback and post some pictures on the set-up. I think I'm some weeks away before getting this done myself
PDA in the car hooked up and displaying/logging data. I'm trying to figure out how I would prefer to mount it.
In the stores near me you can not find anything for mounting PDA's in car's. I've found two things on ebay from the same seller, one is a suction cup mount to the windshield, the other bolts to the front pass seat mount close to the console. I'm just unsure or which setup I would like.
One of the things I want to do is if the PDA/pocketlogger works well is remove the LCD and use the PDA display, so what it looks like hooked up is a concern for me and I would rather not buy things just to try them out.
I am going with just a plain jane vent mount, you can find it on ebay under pda mount. It works verry well, search for zeitronix pocketlogger here, and you can find some screenshots. When I get my cable in and get it mounted, ill post up some shots. Vent mount is the best, its non damageing, and doesnt require to sticky something to the dash, which is way out of the way. And you can easily move it to desired locations.

I guess I just put it on the seat while datalogging.
The pocketlogger software has "triggers" you can set. My trigger is set to start datalogging anytime I go 75% TPS. This starts the log. Then when I shut down, I just tap the screen to stop recording, pull over and look at the log.
I am all about the "stealth" look... I don't have a mount cause that would be obvious, and my pda cord comes through a hole in the center console, so you would never know its there unless you opened the center console.
I guess I am plain jane.
I am in the process of replacing the boost gauge with a better gauge... KR IAT Timing anyone? I don't like having things on the inside look all clustered up.
I have a sticky mount for the dash atm, but I am not useing it. I bought a suction cup mount that comes with a vent mount, I will be useing the vent mount on the center dash. I also have my cord comeing out the lower center console hole, very stealthy too, when you want it to be, but visible, and secure holding mount too.
I took my Zeitronix laptop com adapter and fitted it to a spare PC adapter mounting plate and then mounted this to the hole just below toys panel but above the CD changer. This has worked well (no wires dangling), and when I want to datalog I use a com extension cable to connect to the laptop. Hopefully when the PDA is setup it will look pretty good, if not I'll keep the Zeitronix LCD and just hook up and use the PDA for datalogging.
LOL, I have a P4 3.4 EE, and then its extreamly overclocked, yeah, it doesnt last for shit off of the wall lol. I can turn it on, and run it about a minuite, no joke, than shuts down lol. When I turn it back on, it goes right back off. I have a shitty stock battery. This processor sucks so much juice, I have to have the electric company rerout half the states power to my house lol. J/K, but you get the point.
Just go to best buy and buy a small pocket inverter for your cigarette lighter, it's what I'm using for mine, but you have to have the key in the ON position for it to charge.

No, I bought a nice condition used unit and am awaiting it arrival. I want to do a whole bunch of data logging before I install stuff that way I can see what the fpr mod does, and then what the map clamp does.
Well, I just paid for a msd tach adapter (used for $45 shipped). I can't wait to get this thing going! Those that have them, do you use them still, or do you get 'bored' with it?
