I'm installing a Zeitronix on another SRT-4, the owner would like to display TPS or user input (Knock signal) since he will be keeping his boost gauge (located right next to the ZT-2 display). But he also wants to keep boost hooked up for data logging purposes, hence he has the ZT-2 boost sensor option.
When reading his green sheet directions it says to hook up the boost sensor wires as follows:
I guess what I’m asking is how can I wire it if he wants to the LCD to display TPS AND he wants to also data log boost using the ZT-2 boost sensor option? Or are the instructions for displaying TPS instead of boost for when the boost sensor option has not been purchased?
Yea I e-mailed him last Sunday night and got an out of office auto-reply that he was away at SEMA and he would be back this weekend. I'm gonna finsh the install tomorrow and hook it up with Boost sensor GREEN --------- ORANGE ZT-2. If I need to change it around at a later date I will.
I had asked above and a couple of other questions. He answered yesterday but not the above? I guess he must have been busy since being away for a couple of days. I'll rephrase the question and send just that question in another email.
Did anything get resolved on this? I will be hooking up the boost sensor this weekend and I want it displayed on the LCD and the ability to datalog it. Also Rob, where did you mount the boost sensor in the engine compartment??
yeah I wasn't thinkin on the display..lol..duuhh look at it everyday and it reads -25.5 PSI..lol. Thats cool that the sensor doesn't have to be all fancy mounted! Should be installing this tomorrow!
I cant wait to get my Tungsten T2 cord so I can datalog. I also need to hook up the wires for the rpm signal and throtle signal. Then, I have to buy the boost adaptor eventually lol. Ive had this thing on for over 9k miles and havent been dataloging. I tried my laptop, it logs all of a minuit b4 the battery dies, damn huge processors lol.

you sure the batteries arent wore out? i get 2-3 hours worth on my p4 3.0ghz lappy at the track
LOL, I have a P4 3.4 EE, and then its extreamly overclocked, yeah, it doesnt last for shit off of the wall lol. I can turn it on, and run it about a minuite, no joke, than shuts down lol. When I turn it back on, it goes right back off. I have a shitty stock battery. This processor sucks so much juice, I have to have the electric company rerout half the states power to my house lol. J/K, but you get the point.
Maybe try adjusting the power save, standby, power off features to allow the laptop to stay on longer if no activity/input from the user. Otherwise look into the Pocket logger, I'm going this this way because of this issue and because the laptop in the car while driving is a pain in the ass, log to the PDA and then when done upload to the PC for review.

Already 2 steps ahead of you, already have the software on my T2, and just waiting on my cable to start logging!
