Probably too expensive, though.

What about an oil pressure sender? Those work up to some high pressures and should be compatible with water...

I believe they have a simple resistive output. Just add a known precision resistor and a voltage source and you'd have a voltage output proportional to pressure.

What about it?

Yeah, you'll need some sort of pressure transducer, those usually arent too cheap tho...

What would you use the output for? So you go threw all this to get a voltage output that is proprtional to the injection pressure....... what does this do that a pressure gauge wouldn't? Or are you talking about making an output for data logging purposes?

I am thinking he wants to add WI to this:

Open-source engine tuning hardware development

Exactly, I want a digital pressure gauge for my control system.

I suppose I could also measure flow rather than pressure. They will be related during normal operation.

The idea is to use the flow measurement to adjust the motor drive, helping to provide a consistent and repeatable flow. Plus some more checks that your system is working.

I don't want to add anymore mechanical gauges to my car. Everything will feed into the engine control module and used for the control loops.

There will be a single LCD that will display status and measurements, if I want to look at them...

So, what about using an oil pressure sensor? They are cheap... $30 or so. Can anyone find specs on them? What operating range range they have?

The kit im using uses a pressure switch on the pump and a solinoid controlled by a boost switch. So the lines are allways charged and the solinoid only opens at the boost level u set it to. So no lag time and no loosing the charge in the lines during vac.

Unless the solenoid is right next to the nozzle, you will lose charge. Anything after the solenoid gets emptied...

Smile Devils Own WI

Devils own WI, with progressive controller. That setup will let your system start at 2psi of boost. Put your check valve directly on the nozzle to the brass fitting, which is the setup I use. It uses an electronic controller, which you might want to consider getting if you are getting that kind of lag. I run 21 boost spikes and 19-20ish to redline works prefect for me. That is on the stock turbo I might add, with port fueling.
