It's a great kit, but I love having the varicool option... You won't understand until you have it.
I feel the same way.
I picked up the standard coolingmist kit along with the vari-cool controller. Then I went to cometkartsales.com (go-kart supply website) & picked up a 5 quart aluminum tank for just under $100. For under $600 I have a kit that lets me run up to 28 psi on my 60 trim turbo w/o any KR.
I haven't had any experience with any Auquamist, Snow, AEM, Devil's own, etc. kits, but I know my Coolingmist kit works flawlessly.
Taller is better then short and squat which allow for fluid sloshing which can under certain conditions expose the supply pickup or supply line pickup bulk head fitting.
I have worked with a couple of tanks and the ones from Flambeau seem to be best for the money........if short and squat is needed, best is a small fuel cell with baffles but these are typically cost prohibitive for a simple W/A injection setup.

in theory any of the base kits from any of the vendors will do the same thing. minus the vari the main selling point would be the nozzle design. thats what i see different in all the kits.
i bought engine runups base 100psi kit. pump failed after a 2years, so i bought snow performance's 150 psi pump. then later i switched coolingmist's nozzle. so i have a mix matched kit.
it also depends on how far you wanna go with you car or in your case have gone. so w/o all the bells and whistles base kit i'd say it doesn't matter, with it, and with the mods you have, i'd say coolingmist, or snowperformance just because of the tuning capibilities their moduals, and of course i like coolingmist's nozzle
this is just my opinion, take it w/ a grain of salt
Has to be stainless steel if you use Methanol or a mix containing methanol. If not the methanol will eat into the steel or aluminum and the result particles will become suspended in the supply and then later on partially clog or fully clog a nozzle/jet. I really like the plastic tanks since most can take any fluid without reacting negativity. the Stainless tanks can sometimes be prohibitive when compared to a plastic tank with the same features.
