seems you've never run an E85 setup on a Neon...begs the question of why you have any input in this thread. It's no different than having a tune that isn't spot on; the ecu compensates and unless you were logging the car you would NEVER know it

No, I haven't but I have run meth on a few cars, so please remove your panties from your butt crack
Meth with good failsafe - check gauge for errors. Fill tank when told by gauge. Check nozzles every 6 months E85 - Upgrade necessary fuel systems parts. Fill up at E85 pump. If you can't find one when you need gas, you have two choices. Fill up with 93 and 1. Not go WOT until your car adjust for 30% discrepancy, or two, keep your tuner in your car always. Worry about your fuel sender taking a dump. Just seems easier to run meth for me. Obviously you don't. Don't deny the OP the chance to hear both sides. |

U DON'T run 93 on e tune. Ur wot timing will be too high. (Notice I didn't say can't. I said u don't) Smh You swap to pump tune. Sent from

Yeah he's just against it because he choose one method. I have also run BOTH so I can actually talk about BOTH SIDES (imagine that; someone talking about both methods instead of someone with experience in ONLY ONE). More guys have lost motors due to methanol injection system failures than with E85 (fact); just do a search here and find quite a few. By the time you're done buying "fail safes" you could have made more power on E85 with less worry about "fail safes"
I'd rather worry about a fuel sender than a praying my meth system does what it's supposed to every time so I don't scatter my motor all over the road. A meth system is an ADDITIONAL fueling system to worry about that requires it's own special maintenance and tuning; point blank. BTW mine is still installed

All of this is on point. I love my meth setup but would ditch it without thought if I had e85 within a 2 hour drive. Removing my front bumper to clean & test my injector every weekend, just to be sure, is a pain in the ass.

You can still use the w/I kit for cooling only. Just run distilled h2o; it'll keep your engine clean and Iat as well as any knock under control.

it does nothing...I've run the water before makes no difference in power whatsoever
Are you saying with two equal cars fueled and tuned via dsp/e85 making consistant back to back runs on a hot low humidity summers day, with one with w/i and the other without, that they will run the same times back to back? I'm willing to put money on that one and i dont bet

there are to many things to take into consideration.....
intercooler is one... (how good of an ic) how much boost is another( are you out side turbo effency(sp) range?) turbo fans on the dyno..... but i can say this, back to back runs on water meth my hp when down .1 hp each pass 3 times in a row back to back on e85 my hp when down 2 hp each pass... both on stock turbos meth was 22 psi e85 was 27 psi

yeah actually having run it to see the difference I can say it doesn't make any when running E85. E85 cools plenty
