I noticed on the way to the track tonite that my A/F wasnt dipping. So I get to the track and test it out. Also I have a light in my car that tells me when the pump turns on, and IT DOES TURN ON in boost.
I get to the track, unplug the meth line and run power directly from the battery. Nothing comes out. Then I try again and hold it for 10 seconds and Meth FINALLY came out STRONG. Then when I raced Im pretty sure it didnt turn on.
I filled the tank more than half way earlier today.
On the way home, the meth did shoot because my A/F dipped alot compared to no meth. But it may have been inconsistant. And I have an on/off switch as well.
What could it be? Air from refilling the tank, although there was still meth in there.
If your not using the W/I very often then you should prime it a little while the car is running. I prime it until i see my a/f's go rich. Especially now that its summer, meth evaporates very easy. If it doesn't come out then you may have to crack the check valve at the pump until it primes up.
How would you prime the system? Im assuming what I was doing by giving it power from the battery until meth shot out.
I think Ill put another on-off switch to prime it? Maybe a bad idea, lol
Is the pump accessible or is it mouted in a hard to reach area? Im not sure what your pump looks like but on mine theres a third prong that i can switch the ground connector on that jumps the hobbs switch. Its right on the switch itself. If you dont have that the you can just jump it with a little wire. I use to do it like that untill i figured out what the other prong was.

Its in my trunk. So I just switch the ground plug from the correct spot to the unused spot on top of the pump? Not bad i guess.
I have a wire "T-ed" of the power wire on the drivers side under the carpet. I pull of the plastic piece and the 6 foot wire is right there to reach the battery. This allows me to unplug the meth line and hold it to see when the meth squirts out w/o going in the motor or on the car.
But if I had a on/off switch inside the car, turn on the car, turn on the switch and watch my A/F dip, then I would know it working! Not bad.
I had it setup like that by accident 3 years ago, I dont remember how I wired that in last time.
I have a trunk mount too but its a coolingmist. I just look through my rear window at my wideband and i just keep tapping the connector to the third prong untill i see the wide band go rich. I dont actually plug the connector in and leave it. You can tell when its getting primed up. The pump will start shaking. Make sure the car is on when you try it.

Just supplying power to the pump wont make it run. You have to ground it by jumping the switch.
What did you "T" into for power? You should go off something that only gets 12v with the key on.

The pump turns on when i plug the power wire directly to the battery. I Ted the power wire of the pump so I could reach the battery from the power wire because the power wire is in my car.

Huh? So you activate it manually? You don't have a vac line hooked up for a boost source? It should only come on under boost or if you jump the switch.
