I think what he was saying is that they were having trouble with their tester car.... that they would do a run with the WI running in a dual nozzle setup.... and then run it without the nozzle underneath the IAT... it throws the tuning out of whack

I'm sure the tuning difficulty is more of an issue in the control of the injectant more then the location that the injectant is being introduced.........I have spoken to pro-tuners and its not easy to get a car dialed in for best performance results with a large amount of injectant that is not linear to the primary fuel delivery. Its a bigger problem the more basic the control is and the more controls needing to be tweaked............tuners do not like going back and forth between control mechanisms.

As stated previously the issue with the location in question is wet flow in a part designed for dry flow. Once the injection point is desired to be nearer to the cylinders, port injection is needed.
