I just bought an AEM meth injection kit for my srt. I dont really know much about meth but i couldn't pass up the deal (150 for the full kit) I basically need any advice on what mix to run, how much i can safely boost ect...anything to be worried about. I have a wastegate set to 17, an intercooler and everything else is stock! I should probably get a wideband but is it absoulutly essential?

wideband is always a good item to have when tunning a car.

u need more info about the kit ur using like nozzle size, how many nozzles, what do u wanna get out of this kit. a wide band is a must! and how are you going to control your meth. (boost switch, progressive controller?). but w meth inject, u can boost more but since ur stock turbo, u can boost whatever is safe on the stock turbo. ur PCM will advance timing on its own once it learns ur spraying meth. and u can run a 50/50 mix. also how are you going to tune ur car?

More info would be good, especially about nozzle sizes. But on a general level, 50/50 water/methanol is ideal. It wont enrich your AFR as much as pure methanol, and its easy to make your own 50/50 mix without a run to a race shop of industrial fuel supplier.

Regarding settings, and tuning, thats where nozzle sizes come in first. In fact, even before you truly settle on your methanol concentration you need to know what nozzles you have.

With your setup, a flow rate in the area of 280-320 CC/MN is a good starting point with 50/50 water methanol. You may well find that you can be more aggressive than that too.
