when will you have the cmgs instock with the blue gauge instead of the red?
we sold out of the blue, its been crazy. We are almost out of the red as well. Our next batch will be here after labor day. I will know more next week.
I figured out why my AFRs were getting leaner. The nozzle was leaking in two places. 1 where the screw on fitting connects to the nozzle, the fitting that holds the nylon hose, although it wasn't leaking where the nylon hose attached. So I took that off and applied teflon tape and tightened it down tighter with a 12mm. The other spot I figured was because I was using a DO adapter nut with a CM nozzle but then it occured to me theres no pressure there so it must be leaking right above that, where the nozzle screw into that 90 degree barb. So I tightend that and applied teflon tap, seems to be okay now.
I can't believe it tends to leak where there are threads but never leaks where the nylon hose slides in. The opposite of what I'd expect.
it should never leak where the hose goes in. if you tap the pipe correctly you should be able to push the fittings flat to the oring. This would make it leak free. Otherwise, you can use teflon tape. Eitherway works.
This kit rocks. I didn't think it would make THAT much of a difference but it does. Before the kit I had 5 counts of knock at a peak of around 20-21 psi and holding around 14-15 psi. Zero counts of knock and the car runs amazing. This is an amazing kit with great customer service, I even got a discounted price. Any doubters on meth should speak to dave. I should easily reach 300 horsepower with this kit after I tune the car.
About to install the basic kit with 1 wire ground and the other to the power source switched ignition. I was gonna run it into the cabin off the blue wire on the box inside the cabin where the wiring is on the drivers side, but Im already running my innovate lc1 wideband off of that and my scanguage. Am I going to run into problems with somehting else running off that too? Is there another easier place so I dont have to run the wire into the interior?
Look at what that power source can take as far as amperage and what other devices are protected by that particular circuit and decide.
As I recall, the radio can take a ridiculous amount of amps, it is the same circuit for the sunroof which I'm guessing pulls alot of current. So I'd use that. Cigarette lighter can also take all you can throw at it.
Where do you buy methanol? I found methyl hydrate, is that the same? I looked on the washer fluid and it says contains methyl alcohol and the methyl hydrate says contains methyl alcohol too soooo?
What is the temprature range for the pump. Im looking at installing mine behind the bumper in front of the wheel well. Will the pump withstand -10 winters with no use?
You will need to keep alcohol in the system to keep it from freezing. We had tested the system with similar temps in Reno Nevada. The system was active at that time. If it freezes the pump will be worthless, so keep alcohol in it.

Good place? Its nice and sturdy with little to know movement. Pump is upside down, That doesn't matter does it?
(Looking down in trunk on left side)
Checkvalve is right by the pump, thats ideal correct?
Already have the line ziptied to the front of the car. (Used air brake hose looks to be the same materical as the stuff provided)
Then we need to do the CMGS controller and wire everything up. Shouldn't be bad at all.

You could use your IC button to activate it, since you're not using it for the IC sprayer. You could tap into the cigarette lighter which is directly to the right of it, so there'd be less wiring and you wouldn't have to clutter up your fusebox.
