That's cool that you found that at a hardware store, what was the intended use for it? (for the purpose of asking for one at the hardware store)

Well I got the hole tapped for my UPP. I don't want a boost leak... So I got a plug for it along with some liquid teflon. No leaks. (Before METH kit arrived)
Bung I got through Summit.

Isn't the pipe a little thin for that? I mean how many threads do you get out of that? Like 3?

It does seem less than ideal, but mine seems to be working fine like that. I used a lot of teflon tape just to be sure.

i bought an aluminum bung from somewhere onnline but the walls were really thin and when my welder welded it on the pipe, i sagged and was not round anymore. since then i went to fastenal and bought a stick of 5/8" round stock and just cut my own discs, weld onto pipe and then tap with 1/8th " npt tap. thick walls and disc is welded on solid so no chance for sagging or getting out of round. I can make about 75 bungs now, but oh well. lol i'll send you a 4" piece of the stock for 5 bucks if you want.
