Question Boost Juice On 50T?

Just wondering if anyone has used boost juice by snow performance on the agp 50trim? Also was it any good and did you feel the power gains?

You should be able to run straight, it's just that the companies who make the kits won't tell you that because of liability concerns. Straight methanol is pretty wicked stuff that ignites easily and you can't even see it burn. Also is very toxic.

What about it was so much better? I'm trying to gather data from peoples' experiences of running straight methanol versus a mix, because conceptually a mix should be able to provide better results if you are able to tune for it properly.

Interesting stuff, especially since it really shouldn't work that way if you had the ability to tune to the maximum of your engine's potential. do you know what AFRs you were running either way, and did you keep the same nozzle size?

I'm very curious why it works this way for so many people.

thats what the shit does plan and simple. run straight m1 and get a retune with the meth and keep uping the boost till u see a tiny bit of knock. i know multiple people who have seen gains of 40 or so whp. im putting my kit in this weeknd on my 50t and plan on running 25+ psi of boost on 100% m1

Okay, but have you tried a similar system maxed out with any amount of water in the mix? Since the water and the methanol serve very different purposes that are complimentary, a properly tuned water and methanol mixture should have higher potential than methanol only. If the potential of the injected setup is limited by tuning, then maybe that's when the methanol only has better potential. . .

thats me!!!!. 100% meth is the way to go. i have a standard coolingmist kit and have been running straight meth from the beginning. if you are going to run 50/50 mix, then keep an eye on a/f ratio and knock. how are you tuning ur car anyways?

I'm running MegaSquirt3 if it's me you're asking?

If you've only run straight methanol, how do you know a mix wouldn't be better? Theoretically, you should be able to run more boost if you ran a mix. Personally I would want to run a bigger nozzle to be able to flow the water in the mix in addition to the same amount of methanol (or more with the increased boost) as you currently are.

The water does a better job of absorbing the heat within the combustion chamber, which should reduce your knock even further, but ideally in addition to the methanol as I mentioned before, not in lieu of part of it.
