I went to the track last weekend and put about 4 gallons of Cam 2 110 octane leaded race gas w/ 6-7 gallons of 93 pump. Now my AEM wideband is reading 13.9 when cruising. Did the leaded fuel mess up the wideband 02 sensor or is something else the problem. Before it always read 14.9 ish when cruising. I need to know if the leaded gas could mess up the o2 sensors or if it just needs to be recalibrated. I thought that the manual for the AEM said that you could recalibrate it somehow.
Leaded gas will shorten the lifespan of O2 sensors (compared to regular gas). That being said, depending on the age of the sensor, and how often you run leaded race gas, the sensor might be at the end of its life.
If this is the first time you have run race gas and the sensor is fairly new, chances are the sensor is fine.

thanks. I just got teh sensor over the summer and that was the first time I have ran leaded gas in it. So hopefully the sensor is fine, but that still doesn't tell me what is making it read in the 13's during cruise.
I drove about 100 miles this weekend one way and there was no change. I filled up and put about 15 town miles on w/ no luck. Then I left and cruized the high way another 100. Somewhere in the last 100 it started reading back to normal. I don't understand why or what but I'm glad it's working right again.
