Default ticking in fuel rail

just installed a turboxs and have all mods in my sig. i recently took out all the washers in my bov because i'm having issues with it and now my car feels like i get fuel cut at 10 psi. just starts cutting exactly like fuel cut for overboost. when my car is idling i can hear a ticking. its not the plugs. checked all of them. but i can feel the ticking in my fuel rail. is my pump going out? or maybe my fuel pump rewire is f*cked up?

fuel rails dont tick. A fuel rail just a tube that holds fuel and houses the injectors with no moving parts. What you are feeling is the injectors pulsing which is normal.

ok, so if injectors are ticking, which i've never noticed before this whole fuel cut issue, do you know what it could be? my fuel rail isn't 100% tight because one of the bolts is stripped but i've just never noticed this tick before i took all the washers out of my bov. could my pump be bad or relay?

Oh Im not saying you dont have a problem or your not getting a tick, Im just saying its not your fuel rail.

99.9% of the time with a bad relay or messed up fuel pump rewire the car will not run at all and will only start once.

If you want to check fuel, you can put a fuel pressure gauge on it and tape it to your windshield. Then you take off and watch the gauge. If you dont have a returnline the pressure should be 58psi. If it drops when you accelerate, you need a new pump.

It sounds like the BOV is to weak without the springs and it blowing off all the boost over 10psi. Try the washers and see if it changes the problem, if it does then you have it pinpointed.

ok, but would the blow off cause it to hit a wall at 10 psi? i've blown out the sensor before and it didn't cut out i just couldn't boost past 5 psi. i don't know. i'm going to replace my plugs i guess, fucking iridiums are so expensive so i think i'll go back to standard ngks or something. but i can definitely hear a tick and feel it in the fuel rail, not in the plug wires or anything...ugh.

.035 is quite normal for a bolt on stock turbo car. My 4306's are gapped at .020 with my setup.

well checked all my gaps today and they were all around 30. cleaned the plugs a bit and still get fuel cut at 7-8psi....i'm going to go get some new plugs tomorrow and see if that fixes it. if not, i guess new wires and coil pack? i'm at 56k miles don't think i should need that stuff yet...

uh, i lol'd at your response.... i'm assuming you are saying coil "packs" go out around 50-60k, and new wires are always...."a good thing to do?" and maybe something to monitor "fuel pressure?"

Sry long day yesterday, yes coil "packs" and wires are good to do with a cp, and by monitor I meant a wideband, scangauge etc. Some already suggested the fuel pressure gauge... And btw I wasn't tryin to be a dick if u took offense I apologize
