THought I had a bad pump, see inside for what it was VERY INTERESTING!!!

Ok so i thought for sure it was the fuel pump when i got stranded!!! Ive been having all sorts of problems with my fuel system and was on/off til now

I replaced the connecter and power/ground wires that ran to the pump.

I got everything apart and thought for sure pump was shot til i found this...


Line had a crack in it!!!!


Causing it to short out im guessing hence the black on the connecter

so when you change your pump make sure to change to the new wires and connecter.

what would actually happen, i ask bc iwhen i wot, i hit a brick wall and think it is some kind of fuel cut

same thing as you described and then car just broke down and would not start!
