Anyone ever see how many bottles of either NOS Octane Booster Racing Formula or that new Nitrous express chemical X for forced induction it takes to keep HOM on??? curious if they actually raise octane or like the rest of the octane boosters raise it like from 93 to 93.5
my stg2 on stg1 injectors takes 2 bottles of lucas octane booster per 10 gallons to stay on.........doesnt feel as strong as full 100 octane though, i'd say 1 bottle per 4 gallons is a sure thing. i've got it narrowed down..if you use xylene or race gas or wat ever.
for stg2, you'll need 96+ octane to keep it from knocking, so if you use race gas, do the math and make your tank equal that or higher
EX: 3 gallons of 110 + 8 gallons of 91......this = 96 octane.....good enough for stg2

been writing the companies to see. Found something funny when seearching NOS octane booster says 60points aka 6 full octane numbers on bottle but on there technical data sheets its says as much as 7 points.. LoL
im wondering if u can figure out octane rating from flash point..
one bottle of the race formula does a tird tank anything more and it kicks out.
i did 1/2 tank 110 +91 which made 100......next week i filled up again with just 91 and it was still holding hom.
best bang for buck is either a 5gal drum of xylene or 5 gal of 110 octane....from my experience u can stretcg these farther...the car got squirly running 110 octane i actually scared my bitch ass a couple times....do this, get the 110 and add 2 gals plus 9 gals of pump....
well this is the new version of the octane boost i use to use.. they actually tell u on the bottle how much to add to make 104 octane.. think it was 1 quart per 4 gallons if I remember right. dont know with their new one..
but looks like price went up. I use to buy a quart for $10 now its $16 a quart.. damn inflation..
“All you have to do is add one quart to bring 93 octane fuel up to 107 octane” with a five-gallon fill-up."
making 5 gallons of race gas cost $5.60 using $2.40 for 93 octane and $16 for quart of torco
all-in-all....it comes down to this, to have 100 octane fuel, it costs 20 per 12 gallon tank. no matter if you use octane booster, race gas, this torco, xylene, etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.
some cost a little more or less, but it'll be close to 20
Get a scangauge and look at knock and figure out how much octane it takes to hold HOM without knock. I don't see why people are happy to just hold HOM when god knows how much knock they have, and would pull a lot harder if they didn't have any knock retard. That's my opinion, plus it is going to be different for different cars on different days, the octane requirement that is, so you can't just say you need xx octane for every stage 2.
Not to mention 95 octane may be more or less octane at WOT than another gas at 95 octane if they are both rated r+m/2. Another reason to get a scangauge and not just go with whatever octane people tell you.
i have a scan gauge the most ill get is 2 and that was only cause it was starting to get cold out. i run 11.8 a/fs at 25 psi on pump with meth and no knock. car pulls very hard i dynoed 444whp and 500wtq last month

I think its 2 or 3* of KR before it kicks out! Ive held it on a few gallons of 93, and a bottle of Lucas Octane Boost, but it didnt feel as strong as race gas!

you doubled or tripled the amount you would still get 3 numbers.
so 93 to a max of 96 with lucus oil octane booster.. other companies havent writte me bacjk.. NOS and nitrous express chemical X
