Im not sure what sump the OP is going with, But my car sits pretty low and ground clearance might be an issue. I found pics of BDP sump and a link for them. showing how far it would hang. I thought I read somewhere in the other sump thread the hellmann hangs about 3inches under tank but still higher then the oil pan. Here is the BDP sump.
Standard ![]() Lowprofile (if desired) ![]() Link BDP Fuel Sump Not sure if this will help anyone but found it and thought Id post it. Anybody have measurements on other brands of sumps? hellmann, ADP,XDP?

people want a sump, and then they opt for the smallest sump profile they can (the bdp low profile...which is all they offer now, btw). almost defeats the purpose.
if you do a sump, atleast get one with a little bit of volume, or else its not worth the troubles of hacking your tank up for. if you're truly slammed enough to where you have to worry about clearance issues over bumps...then the chances are your car cant utilize the power an external 044 is capable of in the first place, so why bother with the hassle... some want to have their cake and eat it to...but atleast do it right.

I see no issue with running the low profile sump , as long as you keep the fuel level above the sump and mount it far enough in the back of the tank so when your wot it throws the fuel towards the sump , if it doesnt work o well ill just make a spacer to get alittle more depth out of the sump or just make sure i keep gas in it , its not my daily and i cant remember the last time i saw my gas light on , besides who goes racing with their tank on empty anyway
I have seen people drill a hole thier tanks and just install 10an bulkhead toward the rear of the tank without issues as long as you keep gas in the tank you should be fine .

Ground clearance shouldn't be an issue for me. Ill probably go the standard. I want to actually have a sump that functions as a sump should be deep to function properly.

Tweeks car is pretty low with the Hellman sump and no issues.
I agree with Dsrt that the low profile sump defeats the purpose of using a sump. I would want it to be as deep as possible to stop any chance of fuel starvation.

My thoughts exactly tuner...
Also looking over that sheet that underarmor posted there is no mention of a single 044... Any chance anyone knows the limit of this pump used inline? I haven't gotten injectors yet so I can use whatever injectors are best. Also why does it seem like no one really uses a single 044 inline?

I use single 044 and the sheet does have 255 feeding 044 which I'd say not much different than single 044. I've heard 500 range is about all u get out of a single 044 on corn. + or -

I wish Nacho still posted He would have the answer in a heart beat. I think he said it before in a thread (like Chief said) that a single o44 on corn will support around 500+ hp depending on injectors.

I guess we will see now I'm thinking of going e85... I would just have to buy it by the drum. Either way I'm swapping to a sump and 044. I don't think the walbro is going to cut it...
