Default Return Line/Holding FP Sticky - Help please

Hey guys, I have the good old symptoms of not holding FP when I turn off the car, as well, under boost, I'm at 15.0-16.0 AFRs. I'm trying to understand the sticky thread on the fix and I don't understand the following

Quote:
There are plastic tabs that are supposed to hold the regulator tight in to the tank , but they do not hold it down tight enough. We repaired this by placing small steel spacers ( made from hammered flat nails ) between the spacers and the regulator , forcing the regulator to be pushed tighter in towards the tank.

Is this referring to the plastic that wraps around the side of the FPR when you twist it in? I'm not understand where these little tabs would go. My o-rings are there and in good shape so I'm not sure at the moment. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks!

Also, for the black o-ring that is on the end of the reg, should it be to the very edge or should some metal be showing?

Had the same issue. Not hold fuel pressure. I pulled my stock FPR and there was no o-ring. It was still in the canister. Got it out with a center punch. Put it back on the FRP and fuel pressure now holds.

Yes, I did end up fixing the problem. No black center O-ring. Picked up an assortment pack from Pep Boys, had the one I needed, put it in and I was good to go!
