Hey guys I was wondering what octane I should run. My mods are in my sig. I have a race gas tune from Rage Tek and I used a 101 octane from sonoco and there was a pretty big difference. I was wondering would I get more power if I ran a 110 leaded and would that hurt my wideband. Also I have the predator to tune with. Also I keep hearing about C16 race gas, what is that?

yes leaded will mess up your wideband. not at first but latter on down the road i learned this the hard way luckily i had an extra one.
C16 Used in turbocharged engines, blown engines and nitrous applications with CRs up to 17:1. Recommended by the top nitrous oxide companies. Spec Fuel for NHRA Comp Eliminator.
Color: Blue.
Motor Octane: 117.
Specific gravity: .735 at 60° F
VP RACING FUELS - LEADED FUELS
or i will quote...
"Q16 will work well in any drag racing or circle track application -- naturally aspirated, nitrous or blowers. Q16 is highly oxygenated, requiring a 4-6% increase in fuel flow, which will make 3-5% more power than competitive 116 octane fuels. Q16's oxygenation will significantly expand the range of air/fuel ratio acceptability, so performance will be more consistent and won't vary as dramatically with altitude or density changes. For bracket racers, variations in ET from run to run will be substantially reduced. This added fuel flow also effectively increases its octane by 6-8 numbers above its standard ASTM octane rating."
Yes q16 is good for boosted motors, but it would be a waste for the op to go spend that kind of money on fuel that he wont be able to take advantage of. he is limited to how much boost he can run (because of the stock turbo) with the dsp you can advance timing to what degree, i dont know. you can max the stock turbo out with what he has, using 110. also 110 is about half the price of q16

well i do agree it is a waste, but if he is going to put C16 into it, might as well do Q16, costs the same (atleast where im at it does)
On my current setup I run C12 when I'm at the track. Leaded fuel will damage your oxygen sensors. I have not run into an issue because I don't run it often. I run 93 pump in the street. Next year I'm spraying and having the car tuned for C16. Still running 93 pump for the street because I will not have the bottle in the car unless I'm at the track.
