My son and I installed a new Walbro, new FPR, and a PTP rewire kit. No fuel pressure at all. Went over every step at least three times. Checked all connections, all seem good. Pulled the fuel line off the pressure regulater and primed the system by turning on the ignition key. The pump sounded very healthy, but no gas is getting thru the lines. Turns over beautifully, but not even a cough. I have loved my car for 73000 miles and I don't want to stop loving it. I've read many different threads and am sort of in a daze as to what to do next. Thanks for any help.
When you hear the pump come on, can you hear gas being splashed around? Sounds like the pump could be installed incorrectly, i.e. it's not seated in the blue rubber grommet and/or the blue rubber grommet is not installed in the bottom of the canister correctly. Secondly, it could be installed correctly but the top peice is not fitting into the hole in the top where it goes to the fuel pressure regulator. Thirdly, your fuel pressure regulator is not sealed correctly. Fourthly, your fuel pressure regulator is bad and will not let any pressure out of it. What was the reasoning for installing a new fuel pressure regulator? Was your old one bad? I would go ahead and throw the old one back in and see if that makes a difference, then work your way down to the pump from there.

will do. thanks a lot. the new fpr was installed cause I seemed to be getting a lean condition when I went into serious boost. I checked the plugs and they indicated that my guess was correct. I figured what with the mileage, I should change the pump and the fpr because it contains the filter, and the wiring because many threads said that the original wires were a possible sore spot too. So here I am with my finger up my own fpr and a fantastic car that won,t begin to start.
Have you tried connecting the stock fuel pump wiring to see if it'll crank? If it cranks, the wiring on the PTP rewire kit may be reversed. My car wouldn't start at first with the PTP rewire kit and after looking carefully at the orientation of the wires with the installation pictures, I noticed that on my kit two wires were installed reverse on one of the connectors. After swapping the wires, the car started right up.

No, it cranks like crazy. From all the threads, so far, I'm tending to suspect the new fpr. My next step is to reinstall the old one and then take it from there. Thanks for the suggestion, everyone seems to be very helpful. It's appreciated.
Triple checked everything and then did that dreaded job of dropping the tank. Removed the cannister took the cannister apart (holy shit) and discovered that the red and black wires on the walbro had been reversed, either by me or number one son. Assembled it again, started right up. It has never run so well and smoothly, even when it was new. That wiring fix and Walbro and new fpr, have restored my faith. It even seems a helluva lot faster. Thanks again for the suggestions.
good deal man...I've been through fuel issues like that before where you check everything 4 times over and can't figure it out. Then somebody comes over to my house with NO experience with fuel pumps and they'll say hey try this and it fixes the problem lol.
