Default Mpg?

Ok so I got what was soposed to be a stock srt. Ain't stock soposed to get around 24mpg . I'm getting a average of 20. Is that normal I drive it normal most of the time change gears about 2.5rpm dose bigger injectors always spit more fuel or just under WOT thanks for any words of wisdom o and air filter is clean its a aem short ram

Check basic maintenance first (like new plugs wires, pcv, air filter, fuel filter, etc). Also do a boost leak test to verify you have no vacuum or boost leaks. Another common issue with bad MPG in the neon is a bad upper O2 sensor.

You say you drive it normal most of the time. Well if you are doing some wot pulls, thats going to kill your average mileage.

Do you have bigger injectors?

depends how you drive. if you drive in boost your mpg will be dramatically lower. ive ranged from 11 to upwards of 25-28 mpg. im stock. 20 mpg sounds right to me.

Not sure the bottom of the injectors is blue? I run 93oct and don't have a check engine light not sure if it will show if the o2 is bad.

And I don't have a compreser to do the boost leak test. And not a 100% sure even how to lol but I will do the plugs and probly do bigger wires wile I'm at it. Is there a sound I should here or will the leak show on the boost gage or will it idle funny do to leak idk I'm used to NA cars

Dont rely on a CEL to figure out an issue.

Just because there is no CEL doesnt mean the O2 sensor cant be bad.

i get 20/25 on 91 fully built. e85 is like 14-16/20

I've had a vacuum leak recently and yes you will be able to see it on the boost gauge unless it is minuscule. I run about 22 to 23 in. Hg. At idle. Mine was showing 15 with the leak. Also you can smoke the intake. Just make sure all obvious exits are blocked ex. Air filter, valve cover breather, ect.

i average 17 mpg not going into wot once so you should be happy with 20.

I get about 14-20 in town.. on the highway its about 25.. unless you push the fun button hehehe then it stays low.
