Default locking gas cap?

i guess this is a good place to put this thread..but my neighborhood is having a lot of gas stealing going on at night and when they are either puncturing the gas tanks or just sucking it out of the tank so i wanted to try and find a locking gas gap for the 05 srt but i didnt know where to look, any ideas? ive camped out a few nights trying to catch the guys but they havent struck in a few nights so im just trying to be a little careful at least

Try Moparsupercenter.com or S&P should have them. My car came with one, since an old lady owned the car. It was annoying at first, but with the gas prices the way they are...I'm happy I have it now.

why would you put a locking cap on its pretty hard to siphon out of our tanks the way they are internally designed.....i get gas every day just get 10 bucks a time never have a full tank.....they might get pissed at the sight of a locking cap and punch a hole in your tank

I've seen the inside of the tank over the weekend. I can tell you - there's NO FUCKING WAY IN HELL they'll siphon the gas out of the tank bc there's a spring, a cap at the filler enterance in the tank. the only way you'd have to get around is it to drop the tank, remove the fuel pump and bust open the plastic and whala you can siphon the gas tank.

otherwise, right now - the only way to get the gas out is to drill it out. seriously lol.

thanks guys, and that is what i normally do , it takes 10 bucks to go to work and back with prices now so its not that bad, but if i do fill the tank i usually can get better mileage rather than just a quarter tank. but yea i think ill keep it unlocked for now since the tank is so tough to get to. It sucks though these little shits are gonna get a major beat down if i catch them, it sucks for the guy up the road, he does plumbing or something and they took copper pipe from his truck and shoved it down the entrance of the gas tank and pierced it that way and then took the pipe too cause it is worth so much. Oh im ready for them

filling the tank would get you worse mileage since your carrying all that extra weight......you think your mileage is better cause it can be calculated more accurately with a full tank then say just under a 1/4
