For the past two months or so, the car after sitting its been giving me the long start ( definitely fuel related ). I figured it was the fuel filter/ o-ring , and i was holding off but tonight after starting my car, i hear the fuel pump whining like a cobra.
The failing pump would cause the long starts, and now the noise seems to be pointing towards its death.
Mods are:
FM Wastegate on 18-17 psi
MPx Front Mount
Maxxfab/Borla exhaust.
Stock 05 PCM / Fuel / Injectors
Planning on going AGP Delta in the future ...
I was thinking PTPerformance Re-Wire Mod and a Walbro 255. ( No return line )
I have that same problem too.
Unless the car is warm at all it'll take at least two trys to get it to start up.
And after 15 psi the car hesitates so I can't boost that much.
Ordered a 255 so ill let you know if it fixes it.
If you can hear the pump whining there is either a restriction in the line causing flow issues or the pump is going out. I would lean towards the pump going.

My car makes the loud noise right when I turn the key to the accessories position. It does sound like a supercharger, lol. Mine is a Walbro 255. Not very old either. Should mine be making the noise?

Just put mine in today. The walbro sounds just like the stock pump did, whining like crazy.
What options do i have? Put a replacement FPR in it? Replace injectors?
