Heres the thread where the 044 was used intake and with an inline. The guy is also on E85 so I think the pump should be fine. Bosh 044 in tank, to bosh 044 inline with pics.

its also my understanding that the 044 performs better at higher fuel pressures than the wally 255. especially helpful if you run 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure.

thats correct. from my readings on other forums, the bosch pump isn't much louder than the wally 255 pump in the tank.

I just looked, I think its $18 for the filter and $30 for the adapter to make it work on the 044. So really it's about the same price.

think i would be OK with stock fuel line, i think its comparable to -6 line
you have to upgrade your fuel line

I would go ahead and do atleast a 8n or 10n for feed and I'm doing a 6n for my return. But I'm doing E85, so i want to flow a lot more volume. I might do a walbro feeding the 044 pump, may put a 1-2 gallon in between them not sure.

The bosch 044 is very potent at high pressures! It's max pressure rating is 150 psi.
If you want a pump that is specifically designed for high pressure systems, the Bosch 413 pump is rated at >200 LPH @ 8 BAR.

Just found this thread.
My current fuel set up, 044 in tank, -8 feed to 044 inline -8 feed to rail, -8 to magnafuel regulator (70 psi base 1:1 Boost/vac refrenced RR). Flows just over 610lph. 150ish Gal/hour. It'll empty my tank in a couple of mins. With no head pressure. I did get the jays racing fuel sock, it's a way better filter. This also eliminated the need for my old pre filter, 74 micron magnafuel. The 044 is in tank, and it is ok so far. I may go back and conformal coat the connectors but none of the research I did lead me to belive that there was any danger of "spark" or fire. The only danger I found was the ability for E85 to work it's way into the inner housing through the electrical connectors and eat away the insulation, this may cause a ground fault condition. All the damn info is written in Chezk or German, hard as balls to translate and not laugh...or fall asleep. more pics can be found at NachO_SRT mkcperformance.com Blog And the 044 info can be found on the main blog page: BOSCH 044 Fuel Pumps, now available mkcperformance.com Blog Some good info in there. If you have any questions or need any info on the 044, just ask. I'm running a full boost rail pressure of 100psi. ID 1000's are flowing 1525CC @ 100psi. NachO |
