Default I know...another "would this work?"

Ok,

I've decied to sell my EMS and go with an AGP SCT tune. I just don't have any reliable tuners here in the Boise area that I can count on.

That being said, I want to upgrade my fuel before I get a map built. I only want to run about 20-21 psi on my 3147. My question is: could I run that much boost on some 650s and a walbro pump without a return line? I don't go to the track and I probably won't be upgrading to a bigger turbo (I love this one for the street!) If I could get away with no return line for now that would be sweet. I could always add one later. Will 650s and a pump work with that much boost?

Thanks,
Chris

PS: Be looking for my AEM EMS for sale as soon as I can get a pic and post it for sale!

Top end might be lean or it might be perfect.

I know at 23psi I was a bit lean running static 60psi on 650cc.

Yeah, I guess I'm just worried that 750s would be too much fuel.

<----- 650s on 50psi fuel pressure running 21psi and pulling 4% from 3500-redline, afrs are 11.5-11.8

Thanks for the imputs guys. I guess that's what I mean when I say I'm torn. Everyone's car is a little different. Some need the 750s and some need 650s. I just want to make the right choice the first time. I know that I won't be running a return line any time soon, but I'll only be boosting 20psi as well.

I think the right answer is 750s with an AGP SCT tune and a walbro pump (no return line for now). That way I have a little more room to play (unless you guys disagree)!

If you're definitely going with an SCT then yeah you can get away with the 750s I'd imagine. If you weren't getting the SCT then I'd say definitely get the 650s

AGP should be able to adjust your tune to work on 750cc's if the 650cc's aren't big enough.

Thanks for the help guys. I also talked to Jon @ AGP, and he said the same thing. I'm glad tha I could get this cleared up. It's a big purchase, and I just wanted to make sure it was done right.

Thanks again!
Chris

I'll post up the results as soon as I get them! I'm in Afghanistan (Trashcanistan) for about 2 more weeks before they send me home so it could be a little bit before I can get things ordered and installed. I'll let you guys know though!

Thanks again,
Chris

Yes, he said that I could get a better tune on the SCT flash with the 750s if I wasn't using a return line than if I did 650s with no return line. I trust him, so that's what I'm going to do
