question can we use teh factory fuel line that goes to the fuel rail?
evo why do you want to replace it with braded line?? do we have to do that?
good luck on the install evo pm me the thread when you've finished. im quite nervous about this but it needs to be done stock fpr is crap
I haven't started this project yet. I've procrastinated a bit as I still have to buy all the fittings and fuel line.
The larger braided line was going to replace the stock hard line. I wanted to enlargen the entire fuel system while I'm at it to make it more effective. I was going to have a -6an fitting welded to the stock rail so that the braided line can connect to it. However I have reconsidered this idea since some think that welding a fitting on the rail can pose some future problems. And I really don't want to spend money on a aftermarket rail because quite frankly the stock rail is just as good if not better in terms of flow.
So I'm just going to do the bottleneck mod attached to the stock fuel line for now.
any issues or recomendations ? im planing on doing this hopefully this weekend
Well, only thing I can say is that you should take a time going over every connections. Double check everything. Also give yourself lots of time to do this mod. This was first time I'm doing this mod, and it took me good 2 days. I'm sure lot of people can do this mod faster, but I decide to take my time and do it right. Other than that Vector's how to is easy to follow.
My set up is little different than Vector's. I extended -6an fuel hose all the way to my AGP fuel pressure regulator from Earl fuel filter.

so your not using your factory fuel line?? is it a braded line or just fuel injector line
hey vector here are the piks i told you id send, im gana be out of the hosue for a day or too so ill just post em
that is the nylon washer i was talkn about, think it will do the job?
o ya and for all this stuff and the 3 feet of stainless only costed me
$51.70 all i need is the fuel filter that according to earl is rated for 75 psi, ha had to do soem research into that one. not at all a bad price for what it improves
All I can say is you'll need alot of patience.I didn't get it right the first shot so it took me two days also.I dropped the tank myself with no lift and a small amount of fuel left and re mounted it myself. What a bitch.Well worth it after all the trouble though.Socketless hose and fittings helped a bunch also the second time around.
well hopefully ill be doing it at my buddies shop and he has a lift all im waiting on is the new walbro pump (replacing because i dont wana do all this work and then find that the pump was actually jsut broken) and my fuel filter

That is too easy. Do it like I did...laying on a frozen and snow covered driveway. Also make sure to do it on the codest day of the year
