I have noticed quite a bit of fuel set up questions. I figured it would be nice for some of us to post our set ups and goals or power made

If this is a repost then delete. Also ABSOLUTELY NO BASHING SETUPS u don't like or don't agree with their set up take it to pm or BITE UR TONGUE (fingers )

Here are a few set ups I ran

my setups were

wally 255 -> stock fuel line -> 750cc injectors w/ 93 octane and meth injection on a 50 trim and later a bw s256 -> -4AN fuel return

move to cali and switched to this

wally 255 -> stock fuel line -> 750cc injectors w/ 75% 91 octane/25% E85 and meth injection still bw s256 -> -4AN fuel return w/ FP rewire
aeromotive stealth -> stock fuel line -> 1000cc injectors -> 100% E85 -4AN fuel return w/ FP rewire

current and best fuel system i've went with so far!

fuel sump tank -> -6AN feed line -> 100 micron fuel filter -> -6AN feed line -> bosch 044 external fuel pump -> -6AN feed line -> 40 micron filter -> -6AN feed line -> 1000cc injectors all utilizing E85 for fuel and fuel pump rewire

i just need to get bigger injectors and my setup will be complete.

edited too follow the threads format 8-b

my setups were:

1) stock pump--->stage 1 injectors STOCK
2) then wally 255--->750's--->SCT flashed
3) then wally 255--->fic 1150's SCT flashed
4)then wally 255--->corvette filter mod---> fic1100's DSP rescale
5)then wally 255--->frl--->fic1100's DSP rescale
6) bosch intank--->Evox bluemax fic 1450's--->-8an feed pre pump-rail w/-4returned DSP rescale
7) now its a 044 intank/inline--->-8an feed pre pump-rail w/-4returned--->fic2150's (new fuel setup too sustain my 65"+whp goal for the new build/turbo)

I bought injectors like 6X now that I thimk aboit.it. 750, 1150, 1100,1450, 1300, and finally 2150s. damn haha thinking I coulda saved lots of money had I just bought big ones first time and been done but setups change so fugg it I guess lol

I'm pretty old so I have a few setups...if I did it again it wouldn't have been like that but I was doing it when guys were using SAFC's and return lines + specific sized injectors to minimize timing advance on a tuned big turbo car (those that missed this era...spoiled by the DSP)

636cc FIC's + return line and walbro 255 = 50trim (car went 126 on 112; never dynoed...oh on an SAFC :rofl:)

888cc + return + bnf = zeta (ran pump like this; car made 407 whp)

1200cc + return + dual 044's + 8an feed = zeta e85 (no idea what it makes today; made up to 486 or 492 before I lifted the head)

I don't intend on doing any more fuel work ever....setup should be good for the built bottom (550whp is the goal with that)

Yeah the good ole days :) Things were simple back then. LOL

Great topic Brandon!

I LOVE Arias, and my eagles. IMO unless your looking for north of 600 eagles will work

Fuel System:
#DCR Dual 044 In Tank Fuel Pumps
#DCR -10 Direct Fit fuel rail
#Summit Racing Twist-tite -10 feed line, -6 return line, fittings
#Aeromotive 13101 -10 -10 -6 FPR
#Deatschwerks 1300cc Direct Fit Injectors
#Magnafuel MP-7008 Fuel Filter

This is what I've got sitting in my storage unit right now. This will be my first time changing anything with the fuel system in this car. My goal is 600hp on E85 and whatever the pump 93 wants to push. Nigel is going to dial in both on the dyno Jul 17th when I get built. We'll see.

I will be installing this setup Over the weekend. All the parts should be here tomorrow.

fuel sump tank -> -8AN feed line -> 100 micron fuel filter -> -8AN feed line -> bosch 044 external fuel pump and a rewire -> -8AN feed line -> 10 micron filter -> -8AN feed line -> 03 fuel rail -> 888cc injectors -> 1:1 regulator -> -6AN return line back to tank.

The retune line is already installed and this setup will be using E85.

Well, I don't know squat about the fittings and size of the lines (also not an expert on fuel setups) but here's mine:

Walbro 255
AGP Return Line
AGP 750's
03 Rail
Fuel pump rewire

tuned with dsp, running e85 on a bws

Where's a good place to get a fuel cell for a great price? I'm actually thinking about a bigger fuel system either the Rage-Tek 1000hp fuel system on real tunes website or a full blown dual pump setup used for about $520. With that, I'll prob have to buy what a fuel filter and more lines right? What do u guys think is best choice? With the full blown, I just don't like that there's not a surge tank. I'm trying to get one that's already put together rather than piecing a kit together.

Been doing research and been looking at an inline setup such as a submerged 044 surge setup. Right now I have an in intank Walbro and an aeromotive return line setup and I'll be rerouting my regulator next to the fuel rail. When I replace the lines from the aeromotive return line kit, coming out of the gas tank for the feed, will I have to drill the hole larger for the -6 or -8 fitting? What length lines would u guys recommend if I go out of the tank to a fuel filter to the submerged 044 mounted at the rear area, to the fuel rail then return? The aeromotive returnlime kit is what size? I wanna make sure I order everything I need. Still trying to decide if i do a -6 or -8 setup. Prob a -6. Goal wise I'd like to have a very capable setup. I set my motor up for 750 but doubt I'll ever push it past 650. E85 maybe occasionally. I do not have a bottleneck but my research has told me that it isn't necessary with a surge tank there. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Let's see...

Old Skool - Talking fuel cut defender days and shit - fooling the TIP/MAP was the way! :lol:

Added a 255, dynoed, then added the BNF.
ran that with stock injectors for a long ass time.

Then injectors, I was fortunate enough to get a first run set of ID1000's - Installed, with stock turbo, AEM ECU and fully tuned. 310/397 on corn. I tracked the living shit out of that set-up and then went big turbo, stock block - Same fuel system.

Bullseye power S259...Stock longblock/cams

With the S259 @ ~18psi on the stock block I was ~500hp ~480ftlbs for almost 10,000 miles - then I put a window in it missing a key 3/4 on the highway at some -ahem- moderate speeds.

Built Block(DCR 2.6L) - built fuel system.

Started with an 044 in tank to a boomba and ID1000's, then 044 intank to 044 external (looking for more volume, in all the wrong ways I might add) - I was limited @ ~500ish hp, out of fuel. single -8 feed, -6 return BNF'd cannister with 044 inside.

In-Tank 044 set-up to in line 044 with Magnafuel filter.

Inline 044

Sold cannister with 044 (Its still working today!), did 255 upgrade canister, BNF, -8 feed to custom surge tank, 2 -8 feeds from surge to 2 044's and 2 outputs from 044's into each side of my boomba fuel rail, using the top -6 port, I feed a return back tot he surge tank, and then use a -6 free flow return to the BNF'd cannister with the 255 in it.

The 255 has very very little head pressure (surge tank has a little positive pressure, not much ~1.5psi) and keeps up easily. I'm using Magnafuel in-line filters on the Tank to surge line, and the 044 to fuel rail lines. (3 total)

My Magnafuel regulator is installed on the return side and dumps back into the surge tank. At the time, I was limited to -8 feeds, but would have liked to have -10's with a -8 back to the surge tank. The compromise of time versus money...

This final system netted 614WHP 584FT/LBS on handmade E85 (E98 + quality pump gas).

Had the tone ring not shattered in an unfortunate detuning session, I'd have crossed the 25,000 mile mark on that final fuel system, as it was, I was at 23,500 miles. I had planned on detuning it for some Ice racing in the winter of 2011 - I lost some gumption to rework it and focused mostly on life and my job. Now, I'm a little more comfortable in life, and the Job is on lock so, I'm back to being able to make track days and generally run the living shit out of this thing again. It's under the knife right now at local shop having the tone ring replaced with an OEM, non-ION'd ring, and a complete check up. I'll be on the road again by april I'd think.

with your first setup how much power gain did you see with the just the upgrades fuel pump and injectors?
