I want to start running an E85 mix and wanted to get some input for other guys doing it. I have a way to control my fuel but wasn't sure how you guys know what kind of % of 91/E85 your running. Like when you get gas do you just add 3 gallons of E85 and then fill up with 91 and always fill up the same time the gas light comes on? Whats your method? Also whats your wideband set up for? I'm wanting to run a mix so where would I want my afr's at?
First and for most. DO NOT put e85 without a wideband or sometthing to monitor AFR's. I have seen a buddy put 3 gallons on 22psi + stocker. Pulled like a frieght train but he spiked 13.1 on the afr.. I would do 1/4 of the e85 so 2.5 gallons. make sure afrs dont go past 12.5. Where are they now?

I have a wideband and no one should ever mess with e85 without one! Also my afr's are around 10.5 in the 3k range and lean out to 11.2 in the 5k area. I haven't had time to play with it much. Its also hard to watch the afr's and drive. I want to get it dialed in on e85 so i haven't played with it much. I just wanted to get everyone input on how they run their mix. Also if i'm running a mix would it be better to switch my wideband to read Lambda?

I run 12.5 on 93 without much issue past 5500rpm, so imo 13.0 would be fine if the mix is kept CONSISTANT and of course Knock is in check.
Being able to consitantly mix the same ratio would be the main risk to running 12.5-13.0. That lean of A/F should give good power without much risk.

If you're running less than 40% ethanol, you can just leave the gauge reading gasoline.
To properly tune anything, you need a wideband that will datalog. Trying to look at the gauge while driving is worthless . Innovate and PLX widebands datalog, Pos AEM don't.
What about just watching the EGT's, IDC's, and KR on an Aeroforce? I have an AEM wideband and an Aeroforce gauge, curious if I could experiment with e85 mix to hold HOM on my S3.
