it could be made to fit under the car, and be just like Ragetek's surge tank.
i figure, closer to the engine bay, the less pumping losses the better (and i dont have the spend a fortune on -10 fittings and lines if i go that route), albite i will have to deal with more heat. i will probably make this up this winter and will have it more figured out by then.
thats a good point. you can fix the heat with a simple blanket of some sort im sure.
hey i was gonna PM you i havent got a email back from your buddy any chance you can throw em an elbow for me get his attention
He has your E-mail and is working on the Fuel socks for the intank. Jays racing wants a pretty penny for one so he's looking at another source...maybe.

so to run a inline fuel pump do you have to have a return line to control fuel pressure. Im at the limit of one 255 and am look for something other than the fullblown setup.
yea you will have to run a return line. I think I will be going this route, my walbro feeding a 044 pump. I just haven't made up my mind whether to run a surge tank or not in between the two pumps.

I like it I do, but we got winter here, and with those exposed fuel pumps and the Kansas department of Transportation proclivity to use Salt on the road ways here in the winter means bad juju.
I'm moving my 044 under the car to the Engine area, I ended up with a bay style surge tank design.
I'm guessing you could protect it with a shield of some sort. I like the parallel 255's I really do. Just a little old skool for my taste.

You can just run the lines inside the car and place the pumps in the trunk. Or make a cover box.
