I am about to get a agp stage 4 kit with the gt3076r and i was wondering at what octane of fuel would i need to be using to get around 450 hp, then if i want to push it up i would need race gas right? sorry for the newb question what octane is c16? Can i make a mixture of soemthing to achieve 110 octane? the highest we got at the pump in alaska is 90 so im trying to figure this out

well i'm no expert, but if you wanted to attempt to do 450 on pump gas, I believe you would need meth injection on top of that 90 octane, and probably a lot of it. Don't know if it's wise to mix leaded and unleaded gas, but I guess that's probably how people get 100 octane average for HOM. C16 is 116 octane. They make C17 but as far as I know that's really just for heavy nitrous use, like if you were spraying a nice 250 shot on top of everything. I think you'd be fine with 90 octane if you had meth and got it dyno tuned as long as you keep boost at like 18 and don't try to push it. but that's my unprofessional opinion :/

90 octane will start knocking at around 17psi on a big turbo. After that you'll have to run a meth system and you can see 23ish psi. On gas alone without meth you'll need most likely 95-97 octane and 25-27psi of boost to get the number you're looking for. I'd search for some 100 octane and mix a couple gallons of that with a couple gallons of 90 octane and see how she does, then go from there.

ok cause the readon im asking is that agp is claiming that i will be able to push 400 hp on pump with this stage 4 kit and all the stuff it comes with. Also comes with a tune. Jus tryin to do my home work

lol depends on the pump gas really...i can get 93-94 octane down here off the pumps...add some octane booster and im straight...

theres also ONE single gas station next to the dragstrip that sells 100 octane..

wheres the closest dragstrip up there? is there a dragstrip up there lol? i would check around it and see if you could find some high octane fuel. dont risk/push it and use low quality crap on your expensive turbo setup..

Ya im pretty sure i can get some 106 i think it is from the refinery but we have 90 octane as our high but chevron has the best gas up here. The closest drag strip is about 400 miles away in anchorage. so if i am running only 90 octane should i keep the boost down then into the 18-20 area? my buddy races with HOM on all the time and he uses 1 can torco to 5 gallons of fuel and it holds the whole time so if i did that could i push up the boost to 25-26 area? Im new to the big turbo world sorry
